Schenectady Municipal Golf Course, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Schenectady, New York.
The course was designed in 1935 by Jim Thompson under the Works Public Administration (WPA) program. Schenectady MGC stretches out to 6600 yards and features fast undulating greens and tight fairways blanketed within grasses and native vegetation
The 17th is the signature hole at Schenectady Muny. A beautiful, elevated par three and the last truly challenging shot before the conquerable 18th. A difficult bunker is on the left and a pond fronting the green wraps around the entire right side of the hole. Since the green slopes from left to right, a slight draw will hold the shot more easily. Take a deep breath, swing smooth and finish in balance.

Good course not too hard but not all that easy either. Good lay-out with some very interesting holes. This is a well maintained golf facility.

A municipal course that the staff has made better each year over the last three years I have been playing here. No reason to expect it to degrade. Fairly challenging for the money.

Excellent Value
Good layout
I particularly like the back nine with its 3-par-3s, 3-par-4s, 3-par-5s.
